Creating Results:
Get your ideas implemented by applying organizational "street smarts", influencing others, and leading yourself.

Working in a constantly changing environment makes it difficult to implement ideas and create desired results. Influencing people to "buy in" to your ideas is often a challenge, especially when you have no formal authority.

We've routinely asked people about the percent of their influence situations that go well. Their answers range from a high of 80% to a low of 30%! That means 20 - 70% of their situations don't go as well as they'd like! Why?

They say in the situations that don't go well there are competing ideas and agendas, unclear objectives, turf and budget issues, angry subordinates, and senior managers who are in entrenched positions.

Yet, there are times when individuals move the business forward. They handle the barriers, find the resources, and build management support. They consistently get results for the benefit of the organization and themselves.

Our research indicates that success comes from having expertise
in three important areas:

Organizational "Street Smarts": Learn how to navigate throughout the organization to get things done in a timely and effective way.

Influencing Others: Learn practical influence skills to enhance relationships and gain agreement and commitment from others.

Leading Yourself: Gain insights and develop skills to increase confidence in challenging situations and stay focused on results and success.

Why Creating Results?

Participants from 15 public programs over the last two years reported a 30% increase in their probability of success when dealing with challenging on-the-job situations as a result of attending the Creating Results Program.

In our follow-up calls 3 weeks after the program, participants made the following comments about their situations:

• 47% successful, good results, etc.

• 26% on-going progress

• 6% resolved before they had to deal with it

• 4% unsuccessful

• 4% did not have one

• 13% no mention

The Objectives
