To Make You Think

Training of Trainers
LMA also offers certification training to prepare trainers for delivery of LMA workshops in-house.

The Challenge

  • Your organization is developing its in-house training resources to keep pace with the rapidly changing needs for training and re-training employees. And you need to develop your skills to be a consistently outstanding trainer.

  • As a manager, you recognize your need for coaching and facilitating skills in order to be effective.

  • You are a trainer with one or two years' experience who wants to improve your skills in designing and delivering training.

LMA offers this workshop for facilitators and trainers who want to assess and improve their stand-up training skills, and for trainers experienced in the design of training who want to enhance their delivery skills. Training of Trainers provides an opportunity to work with other seasoned trainers to develop and deliver superior training. You learn to design and conduct training based on the experiential learning cycle. By following the cycle you can maximize learning for each attendee.

The Objectives
Training of Trainers, will help you:

  • Increase confidence in yourself as a trainer

  • Strengthen your training and facilitating skills

  • Read your audience better and adapt faster to their needs

  • Develop concrete plans to refresh and build on your training skills

During the workshop, you will:

  • Learn more about the adult learning cycle and its implications for training design and delivery

  • Use the experiential cycle and methods (case studies, role plays, etc.) in your own training design and delivery

  • Develop strategies and recovery skills for handling training dilemmas

  • Plan a future professional development steps based on assessment of your training strengths and areas for improvement

  • Apply your learning experience to an on-the-job situation with new training strategies for existing or new curricula

During the workshop, you are videotaped as you present units from your own curriculum. You will receive focused feedback from the trainers and other participants. A low trainer/participant ratio supports your learning.
